Ultherapy Prime Cost in Seoul: What 300, 400 and 600 Shots Actually Buy

At Karin Clinic in Myeongdong, full-face Ultherapy Prime is 1,400,000 KRW for 300 shots, 1,800,000 KRW for 400 and 2,700,000 KRW for 600, VAT not included. Quotes across Seoul vary widely because they bundle different shot counts, treatment areas and devices, so compare what is included rather than the headline number.

Ultherapy Prime Cost in Seoul: What 300, 400 and 600 Shots Actually Buy

How much is Ultherapy in Korea? It is a fair question, and I would rather answer it with a real price list than with “it depends.” It does depend, though, and the reasons are worth five minutes of your time before you commit to a number you found online.

How much does Ultherapy Prime cost at Karin Clinic?

These are our published prices as of October 2026. They are the same figures you will find on our price list, and monthly promotions, when there are any, are explained during your consultation.

Because our prices do not include VAT, ask for the final total before you pay, wherever you are treated. The number of shots and the treatment areas can change once I have seen your face, which is why I would treat any price you receive by message as a starting point.

Why do Ultherapy quotes in Seoul vary so much?

When you compare English-language guides, you will notice they disagree with each other, sometimes by a factor of two or more for the same shot count. Few of them explain why. In my experience the gap usually comes down to five things:

  • The device. “Ultherapy” and “HIFU” are not interchangeable words. Ultherapy Prime is one specific system. Other HIFU devices are legitimate treatments, including Shurink Universe, which we also offer at a very different price, but they are not the same thing. If a quote says only “HIFU lifting,” ask which machine.
  • The shot count. A low headline price often describes a small number of shots. Divide nothing until you know what is being counted.
  • The area. Is the quote for the whole face, the lower face, or the eye area alone?
  • Who holds the handpiece. Ask whether the doctor you meet in consultation performs the treatment. There is more on this in my piece on what patients mean by a factory clinic.
  • The extras. Numbing, follow-up and VAT may or may not be inside the number you were shown.

Price alone also tells you very little about whether a tip is genuine. I wrote a separate guide on how to check that your Ultherapy Prime is authentic, because that check takes a minute and matters more than a small saving.

How many Ultherapy shots do you actually need?

There is no correct number that applies to every face. I look at skin thickness, the depth of the SMAS, how much fat there is, facial asymmetry and the size of the area. Then I draw lines on the face and plan the depth and number of shots zone by zone, using the 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5mm depths.

As a very rough way of thinking about it before you arrive:

Starting pointWhere it tends to fit
Eye Ultherapy Prime, 100 or 200 shotsYou are mainly bothered by firmness around the eyes and want to focus there
Full face, 300 shotsA smaller face or a first treatment, with shots concentrated where sagging begins
Full face, 400 shotsMore area to cover, for example jawline and deep cheeks together
Full face, 600 shotsA larger treatment area, and only if your skin and fat volume can take it

The final recommendation can move in either direction after I examine you. We never push for more than you need, and that is not just courtesy. More energy is not automatically better.

Is a higher shot count always better?

No. Fat and volume loss, along with sagging and asymmetry, appear among the events reported after micro-focused ultrasound in the manufacturer’s post-market section of the Instructions for Use. The manufacturer notes that voluntary reports like these cannot establish how often they happen or whether the device caused them, and such reports are rare. At Karin Clinic we have not had a single case of this, and that comes from how carefully each shot is placed: I will not spend energy on a thin cheek just because the package includes the shots.

This is the practical reason I care about imaging. With DeepSEE real-time imaging I confirm on screen that the transducer has reached the intended layer before delivering energy. A patient with little fat in the cheeks may get a smaller, more selective plan, which is a better outcome than using up every shot in a package.

What results can the evidence support?

A price only makes sense against a realistic result. A 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis of micro-focused ultrasound with visualization, which pooled 42 studies, found that investigators rated 89% of patients as showing some degree of global improvement. Patient satisfaction was 84% overall, but it fell to 62% in studies that gave patients a “neutral” option, and the authors warn that counting neutral responses as positive may overstate the benefit. Most of the studies followed patients for six months or less.

I read that as a treatment that helps most suitable patients, with a modest and gradual result that some people will find underwhelming. You may feel tightening right away, and firmness then builds over the following months. Ultherapy is also not permanent. The Instructions for Use describe “temporary changes in the physical appearance of the skin,” which is why some patients plan it as a yearly routine.

What is it like, and what are the side effects?

Expect discomfort. The same review reports a pooled pain score of about 4.85 out of 10, which the authors class as moderate, and it varied widely between studies. We apply numbing cream for a sufficient time to reduce it. Sensitivity differs from person to person.

Most patients return to normal life the same day. According to the Instructions for Use, the common effects usually settle within these ranges:

  • Redness: within a few hours
  • Swelling: within 3 to 72 hours
  • Welting: within a week
  • Tenderness and bruising: within 2 days to 2 weeks

Less commonly, inflammation of a nerve can cause temporary numbness or local muscle weakness, typically resolving in 2 to 6 weeks, though nerve effects lasting months have been described in post-market reports. Burns and scarring are possible with incorrect technique. You should know all this before you book, not after.

Who should not book Ultherapy?

The Instructions for Use list open wounds or lesions in the treatment area, severe or cystic acne in the treatment area, and active implants such as pacemakers or metal implants in the treatment area as contraindications. Treatment is also not recommended directly over dermal fillers or on an existing keloid, so please tell me about any previous filler.

The system has not been evaluated in people on anticoagulants, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in people with conditions including autoimmune disease, diabetes, epilepsy, herpes simplex and Bell’s palsy. If any of these applies to you, mention it when you first contact us. Studies also suggest results decline as laxity and BMI increase, and heavy sagging may simply need a different conversation, including whether a non-surgical treatment is the right tool at all.

What should you confirm before paying for Ultherapy in Seoul?

  1. Is the device Ultherapy Prime, and can I see the tip opened?
  2. How many shots are included, and in which areas?
  3. Who performs the consultation, and who performs the treatment?
  4. What is the total, including VAT?
  5. Is any follow-up included, and how would it work once I have left Korea?

At Karin Clinic you can watch the authentic tip being opened, and we confirm authenticity through QR code verification afterward. The details are on our Ultherapy Prime page, and my background is on the doctor page. If your concern involves more than sagging alone, 3-Layer Lifting combines Ultherapy Prime with treatments for the dermis and surface in one visit. If you are still deciding between devices, read my comparison of Ultherapy Prime, Shurink Universe and Oligio.

We are at Myeongdong Station (Line 4) Exit 8, open weekdays 10:00–20:00 and Saturday 10:00–16:00, closed Wednesdays and Sundays.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is 300 shots of Ultherapy Prime in Seoul?

At Karin Clinic in Myeongdong, 300 shots of full-face Ultherapy Prime is 1,400,000 KRW, VAT not included. Other clinics set their own prices, so confirm the device, the areas covered and the total before you compare.

Is Ultherapy cheaper in Korea than at home?

It may be, but it depends on your home market and on what each quote includes. Compare the same device, the same shot count and the same treatment area, and include your total cost with VAT.

Are 300 shots enough for a full face?

For some faces, yes. It depends on face size, skin thickness, fat volume and how far sagging has progressed. I set the plan after examining you, and it can go up or down from what you expected.

Can I get an exact quote before I arrive in Seoul?

You can see our published prices and ask questions on WhatsApp before you travel. The final shot count and areas are decided after an in-person assessment, so treat any remote figure as an estimate.

How long does Ultherapy last?

It varies by person, skin condition and lifestyle. The device is intended to produce temporary changes, and many patients think of it as a yearly routine rather than a one-off fix.
